The 3000T X and HD3 are both professional touch-screen oscilloscopes, but optimized for different measurements. The 3000T X has higher bandwidth (up to 1 GHz vs 200 MHz) and faster sample rate (5 vs 3.2 GSa/s) — better for high-frequency signal work. The HD3 counters with a 14-bit ADC (64× better vertical resolution than 8-bit) and 50 Mpts memory depth — 12× more than the 3000T X. The HD3's FRA (Frequency Response Analysis) enables direct Bode plot measurement for power supply designers. Both support MSO with 16 digital channels. Choose the 3000T X for bandwidth and general-purpose use; choose the HD3 for precision power electronics and long-capture measurements.
