The 2000X and 4000X are both 4-channel mid-range professional scopes, but the 4000X offers significant upgrades. The 4000X's 12.1-inch capacitive touch screen (vs 8.5-inch on the 2000X) enables more comfortable multi-signal analysis. The InfiniiScan automated anomaly detection on the 4000X automatically finds rare glitches without manual trigger setup. Performance-wise, the 4000X delivers 5× the update rate (1M vs 200k wfms/s) and 4× the memory depth (4 Mpts vs 1 Mpts). Both support MSO, but the 4000X doubles the digital channel count to 16. If advanced triggering and a larger display justify the price premium, the 4000X is the preferred choice for design verification work.
