The 2000X is a mid-range 4-channel scope covering general-purpose work up to 200 MHz. The 6000X is a high-performance instrument with starting bandwidth of 1 GHz, upgradeable in software to 6 GHz — 5× the 2000X's maximum. The 20 GSa/s sample rate is 10× faster, and the 10-bit ADC provides 4× better vertical resolution. One notable trade-off: the 2000X supports an MSO upgrade with 8 digital channels, while the 6000X has no digital channel option. For mixed-signal debugging, the 2000X's MSO capability is an advantage; for high-frequency RF and signal integrity work, the 6000X is in a different league.
