The 1200X is an entry-level 2-channel oscilloscope designed for education and basic measurement. The 6000X is purpose-built for RF and high-speed digital work with a starting bandwidth of 1 GHz — upgradeable in software to 6 GHz — and a 20 GSa/s sample rate 10× faster than the 1200X. The 6000X's 10-bit ADC provides 4× better vertical resolution, crucial for precision signal integrity analysis. The memory depth on the 6000X (4 Mpts) is double the 1200X. These instruments serve completely different markets: the 1200X for benchtop education, the 6000X for advanced RF and DDR validation.
